MEMORIAL SITE : Church of St Mary

The Centenary Stained Glass Window on the north side of the church was installed in 2012. In the centre left part of the window you will see the cross drawn in the sky above a tractor, the cross remembers a Royal Air Force Panavia Tornado GR.1 (ZA555) that crashed near Rookery Farm, Wortham on 2 December 1986. Both pilot and navigator ejected to safety.
